Veronica and Robert’s Palm Beach Wedding

Posted on July 29, 2008

Palm Beach is one of the most chic places in the country to have a wedding! Veronica and Robert’s recent wedding at the Bath and Tennis Club in Palm Beach was definitely chic! The bride and groom live in Boston, but chose to have a Palm Beach wedding at the beautiful Bath and Tennis Club which is right on the beach. We had a tricky day of shooting, with on and off rain, but we still had the opportunity to get some great outdoor shots with the magnificent Palm Beach ocean as the backdrop.

The bride’s family has been members of the Bath and Tennis Club since it opened in 1928 and she has been attending it with her Grandmother since she was 3 years old. The venue choice obviously has a lot of history and nostalgia for her. What a perfect reason to choose to have her Palm Beach wedding there!

Hand tailored in Miami, the bride wore an Allure Couture Victorian ball gown, strapless sweetheart, corset style bodice, adorned with lace and crystals as well as bejeweling 10 rows of Swarovski crystals. The dress weighted over 50 pounds!

The dramatic cake celebrated their wedding colors, tangerine orange and hot pink, towering 5 tiers of different hatbox-like levels, each decorated uniquely, accented in gold, topped by a gold vase supporting a topiary ball of tangerine orange colored roses. Flowers of Worth created the beautiful centerpieces which consisted of 4-foot Curly Willow Trees budding hot pink, orange, or violet orchids, ornamented with an abundance of dripping strands of crystals, and finalizing the pieces with dramatically lit hanging glass votives.

Everyone had a great time celebrating with the bride and groom and also enjoying all the various music that was played – including everything from a Scottish bagpiper to a 7-piece band to a harpist! As far as Palm Beach weddings go, this was a truly great one! A wonderful time was had by all – congrats Veronica and Robert!

Corporate Event at the Ritz-Carlton – South Beach.

Posted on July 24, 2008

In addition to weddings and bar/bat mitzvahs, we also love to photograph corporate events. As a South Florida photographer, shooting corporate events can be just as satisfying and creative as shooting a wedding. Large companies often invest tremendously in wowing their employees with elaborate set-ups for each of the scheduled events. Also, South Florida is a great place for conferences and corporate retreats because there are SO many great hotels and resorts to choose from. We have fun photographing everything from political gatherings, corporate events for banks and law firms etc.
The event featured here was photographed at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach and the magnificent décor was created by the artistic talents of Robert Torres of Grande Affaires. If you are looking for a South Florida photographer for your corporate event, feel free to contact us for a quote.

Sara & Mario’s Wedding at the Acqualina Resort

Posted on July 20, 2008

A few weeks ago I photographed Sara and Marios’s very classy wedding at one of South Florida’s newer venues, the Acqualina Resort in Sunny Isles. As a South Florida wedding photographer, I am always excited at the prospect of shooting at a location I’ve never worked at before. The décor for the wedding was artfully designed by Robert Torres of Grande Affaires. I had a wonderful time photographing Sara and Mario at Acqualina Resort – it was an overall great day.

Interesting shoot at the Miami Seaquarium

Posted on July 14, 2008

Last Tuesday I photographed a very interesting subject! It all started while I was at a bridal networking event sponsored by Brides.com. I was talking with Stephanie Bosco-Luca when the subject of scuba diving came up. Then she asked, “How would you like to shoot a bride kissing a dolphin underwater?” I didn’t have to spend anytime thinking about it, “Sure,” I said, “when?”

The photo shoot took place at the Miami Seaquarium where we met with Dolphin trainer Heather Keenan who was also our “underwater bride.” The Miami Seaquarium is currently being renovated for special events and will soon feature a new wedding ceremony location that will offer spectacular views of Biscayne Bay and the Miami skyline.

With the assistance of Valerie Brizuela Mahon, from Imagine Weddings and Events and my photography assistant, Natalie, I hit the water. The weather was perfect and our dolphin “groom” was all to happy to give Heather a smooch for the camera.

HERE IS THE FINAL AD AS IT WILL APPEAR IN BRIDES MAGAZINE!!

Sarah and Shane’s Wedding at the Breakers

Posted on July 9, 2008

What a beautiful couple and a gorgeous wedding! Sarah and Shane had a breathtaking wedding at the Breakers – everything was perfect – even the weather! With the recent rains we’ve been having here in South Florida, Sarah and Shane were SO lucky to have a rain-free day. I can photograph anywhere – even if we are stuck indoors, but luckily the weather was great and it allowed us to roam around the magnificent grounds of the Breakers and get some great shots.

Of course, the inside of the Breakers isn’t too shabby either, and I spent some time photographing Sarah and Shane around the hotel in many different locations. They were fun to work with and we had a great time getting these photos.

Sarah was radiant, in a stunning Maggie Sottero gown, which was form-fitting yet with a lovely flare as well. As the bride described to me, her Italian background inspired her to wear such a dress, with its lace and train – the image of a true Italian bride!

The Breakers Design Studio did a terrific job with the flowers and décor as you’ll see in these pictures. Their work, as always, is flawless and their attention to detail unparalleled. The theme of the wedding was white, crystals and candles. Every detail of the wedding had crystals incorporated - even Sarah’s veil. Her bridal bouquet was composed of stephanotis, peonies, hydrangeas and roses - all in white.

Sarah and Shane’s wedding at the Breakers was truly one to remember! You guys are the greatest – thanks for letting me be a part of your special day – enjoy the photos!
