SOUTH FLORIDA WEDDINGS - SPRING SAMPLER OF FOUR GREAT EVENTS

Posted on June 23, 2011

We are always working on multiple weddings and events at once and although we can’t post each and every one, we did want to share some images from four recent events we photographed. Every wedding and event is unique and we thought that you would enjoy seeing some of the variety of the shots captured at these events.

The first event was Ashley and Jeremiah’s South Florida wedding at the Harbor Beach Marriott. As an employee of one of the hottest bridal shops in the area, Boca Raton Bridal, Ashley definitely has the inside track as to what’s hot and what’s not as far as bridal fashion is concerned! Ashley was radiant in her Ramona Keveza dress and unique bridal shoes by local designer and shoe manufacturer, Angela Nuran. To further customize the shoes and make them extra special for Ashley, Nuran added sparkly crystals (by hand) to the heels. It won’t be hard to tell from these photos that I had an amazing time photographing this exceptionally fun couple. Between the church and the fabulous Harbor Beach Marriott, there were so many opportunities for great shots – and I tried to get as many as possible. The Harbor Beach Marriott is a popular wedding venue due to its prime location right on Fort Lauderdale Beach and its comfy accommodations for out of town guests. I hope you enjoy this glimpse of Ashley and Jeremiah’s very special day.

Next, we have Jessica and Seth’s South Florida destination wedding at the Hillsboro Club. From New York City, Jessica and Seth planned their South Florida wedding at this fabulous venue on the beach. The Hillsboro Club’s prime setting on the beach lends itself to create the perfect setting for a beach themed wedding, as you will see in these photos. Jessica and Seth were great to work with as well and we had a wonderful time roaming the grounds to get the shots you’ll see here. We have many clients from the New York area who want to give their guests the distinctly Floridian feel by having a beach wedding just like this one. Jessica and Seth truly achieved this with their choice of having their wedding at the Hillsboro Club.

Both elegant and festive was our next event - Ashley and Kyle’s South Florida wedding at the Norton Museum of Art in West Palm Beach. We began photographing the bride and groom at the beautiful Brazilian Court Hotel in Palm Beach, and then traveled to the really cool Norton Museum of Art for the ceremony and reception. Ashley and Kyle are really artsy people, so having their wedding at the Norton Museum of Art seemed to be the perfect location to achieve the type of atmosphere they were looking for. I must say, the Norton Museum is a totally fun place to take wedding pictures – I love it!

Finally, we traveled to Tampa to photograph Nadia and Adil’s wedding reception party hosted by the groom’s parents. This event, hosted at the magnificent Grant Hyatt Tampa Bay, was just as elaborate as a full-blown wedding – there were about 200 guests and an incredible Indian buffet fit for a king! The bride and groom were radiant and we were able to spend some time exploring the venue to capture these shots. The Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay offers some truly unique features, such as a top floor restaurant with panoramic views from all sides – you can see Tampa, St. Petersburg and Clearwater depending on which way you look. Truly amazing! The outside grounds were just as gorgeous, yet the weather was quite hot so we were definitely melting after only a few minutes outside. Nadia and Adil were great sports and I thank them very much for their cooperation and graciousness that day.

A picture perfect bride and groom!

Casey and Mason’s South Florida Destination Wedding at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa

Posted on June 10, 2011

Casey and Mason are from Texas, but had their wedding at the fabulous Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa here in South Florida. As a South Florida wedding photographer, I photograph many destination weddings in the area. We have found that our clients choose to have a South Florida wedding for many different reasons. For Casey and Mason, the reason was sentimental - there were engaged in Key West, so having a South Florida destination wedding just seemed to make sense.

Debbie, Casey’s mom had called us a while back about having me photograph her daughter’s wedding. Of course, I was thrilled to oblige! Their wedding was coordinated by Terry Longo at the Diplomat. Terry is always wonderful to work with and made sure that everything went without a hitch. The lovely floral creations were created by J. Morgan Flowers. Debbie Taylor and Standing Ovation provided the fabulous entertainment for the evening.

The bride’s gown was by Marissa and her shoes were Vera Wang. In selecting the venue, the couple was looking for something small, intimate and fun for their closest family and friends. As mentioned above, since they had become engaged in Key West, they thought that a South Florida destination wedding was the natural thing to do! They wanted the relaxing vibe of the beach, mixed in with their back home Texas roots which was seen in all of their first dances. Mason and Casey’s first dance was a choreographed two-step to a Texas country singer, Pat Green. This was followed by Mason and his mom’s two-step. Then, Casey and her dad danced to “That’s my Lady in the White Boots” with Casey wearing her white cowboy boots under her wedding dress! This certainly gave this South Florida wedding a real Texas flair!

This couple was so enthusiastic to work with that we had a great time shooting at the wedding. I love photographing weddings at the Diplomat Hotel due to its truly unique character and flair. It’s a totally modern venue right on the beach with great views both inside and out. There always seems to be a new place to shoot there. Also, both the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa and Country Club have quite a history in South Florida. The original hotel was imploded and then the new beautiful Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa erected in its place, but the name Diplomat has been known to South Floridians for years and years and is synonymous with class all the way!

Many thanks to Casey, Mason, their families AND to Terry Longo for a wonderful event!

The Right Choice!

Posted on June 9, 2011

I love it when clients go out of their way to post great comments on Wedding Wire or the Wedding Channel!
This was posted today!

THE RIGHT CHOICE posted 6/8/2011
Choosing a photographer for my wedding was one of the hardest decisions I had to make for the event. I found Jeff simply by googling "best photographer in miami area" and Google knew best! Jeff sat with me for over an hour to discuss the job and we immediately connected. I knew he was the one to document one of the biggest days of my life. Jeff is efficient, patient, talented and professional. He is an experienced photographer with an eye for art and I would highly recommend him to anyone who wants the best. My wedding was definitely not an easy job because I have a huge family but Jeff handled it in a stride. I just got my pictures back and I am so happy with how they came out! Jeff is definitely the right choice!

Here's a fun Shoe shot.

A TASTE OF MIAMI AT THE MANDARIN ORIENTAL HOTEL

Posted on June 7, 2011

We recently attended a cocktail party at the fabulous Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Miami. Aside from its amazing location right on the bay, the hotel offers an absolutely first rate array of food and desserts. Here you will see a tasty variety of hors d’oeuvres and desserts that were presented that evening.

Many thanks to Victoria Chase and the staff at the Mandarin Oriental for creating such a breathtaking evening and of course, the marvelous munchies!
