Lauren & Phillip’s Wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne

Posted on April 26, 2008

What a gorgeous wedding! Despite some rather rainy weather, Lauren and Phillip’s wedding at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne was festive and fun for all! Robert Torres of Grande Affaires had to do some tricky maneuvering to set up the large chuppah inside, rather than outside, but as usual his mastery worked and the ceremony set-up was elegant and lush. Whether indoors or outdoors, it is impossible to find an unsightly area at the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. Both the outside grounds and the interior are magnificent and a perfect place for creating artistic images under any circumstances. Each time I am there I seek out new locations around the hotel to create some photo magic! This wedding was particularly challenging, in that the rain drove all of the hotel’s guests inside and limited the areas where we could shoot. I think, however, that I found some really cool spots and captured the bride and groom and the essence of the Ritz-Carlton Key Biscayne. Once again, I can’t say enough about Grande Affaires. Their creativity, artistry and professionalism is unparalleled. Lauren was a beautiful bride and Phillip an adoring groom – they were a lot of fun to work!

Deborah and Brad at the Hyatt Pier 66

Posted on April 24, 2008

Jeff:

Although we are sleepwalking through this week, still exhausted from all the planning and excitement of our wedding, I wanted to take a moment to tell you how pleased and honored both Deborah and I were to have you as our photographer last Friday. We hope you enjoyed working with us as much as we enjoyed having you. We are obviously quite excited to see the photos.

After all the mandatory shots we know you had to take, we actually talked afterwards about how non-intrusive you were into the rest of the affair. Having worked with photographers at weddings back in high school and college, my wife and I were prepared for something different. We received compliments from the rest of our wedding party as well.
Thank you again.

Deborah and Brad.

Jaclyn and Richard’s Wedding at Casa Casuarina

Posted on April 16, 2008

What a magnificent place for a wedding! Gianni Versace’s former home, Casa Casuarina is one of South Florida’s most intriguing venues. With a courtyard and pool to die for, Casa Casuarina affords its visitors a private and utterly upscale place to celebrate! For Jaclyn and Richard, their special day began at the Ritz-Carlton South Beach where I captured Jaclyn getting ready before orchestrating the bride and groom’s “first look” in the ultra modern lobby of the hotel. As far as South Florida wedding photographers go, this one thinks that the Ritz-Carlton South Beach is one of the most interesting locations to do wedding pictures. Aside from being on the beach, the interior of the hotel is really interesting, with different textures, colors and shapes that render it truly unique. In Jaclyn and Richard’s case, we dodged the rain, but instead managed to grab a few great shots around the Ritz-Carlton South Beach before heading over to Casa Casuarina for the ceremony and reception.

Barton G., one of South Florida’s premiere event designers and catering companies, expertly managed the affair – handling everything from the flowers to the décor to the cuisine. Jaclyn stood radiant among the ornate walls of Casa Casuarina and we had a great time taking the photographs you see here. I was honored to photograph Jaclyn and Richard’s wedding and also had a great time in the process!

A crowd gathers as Jaclyn makes her way from the limo into Casa Casuarina for the start of the wedding ceremony.

Marisa & Joe’s Wedding at Boca Raton Resort & Club

Posted on April 10, 2008

A few weeks ago I photographed Marisa and Joe’s fabulous wedding at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. It was a festive party at one of Palm Beach County’s most beautiful locations. A wedding at Boca Raton Resort & Club is a photographer’s dream with so many terrific areas to do pictures with the bride and groom! Marisa and Joe’s décor was masterfully designed by Dalsimer/Atlas in a Caribbean theme with palms integrated into the elaborate chuppah and unique centerpieces. Everyone was very excited as Marisa and Joe took their vows under the palm-adorned Floridian chuppah; the tropical feel transporting the bride and groom from the chilly city of Boston where they currently live. This ultimate Floridian wedding at Boca Raton Resort & Club was truly one to remember. Thanks, Marisa and Joe!

Matthew & Suzette’s Engagement Shoot in Central Park, New York City

Posted on April 9, 2008

A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of photographing Matthew and Suzette’s engagement pictures in New York City. As a South Florida wedding photographer, I always welcome the chance to photograph in other places – it makes things more interesting! Their shoot began at the Moonstruck diner on Madison Ave. and 38th St.. From there, we took a cab up to Central Park in the heart of Manhattan. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect! Before we even entered the actual park, I noticed a very cool structure with lights, so we started there. You’ll see from the photos below just some of the great spots Central Park has to offer. This shoot gave me a great opportunity to be a New York wedding/engagement photographer!

Push the play button to start the show.

Albert will be photographing Matthew and Suzette’s wedding this November at the Doubletree Oceanpointe Resort in Sunny Isles. Many thanks to Matthew for taking care of us so well in the hotel he works at in Manhattan! Thanks to both Matthew and Suzette for allowing this South Florida wedding photographer to have such a great time photographing you in New York City!
