Robin and Jonathan at The Breakers, Palm Beach

Posted on October 22, 2008

What a beautiful day! Robin and Jonathan’s recent wedding at The Breakers was a pleasure to photograph! Hailing from New Jersey (our home state), Robin and Jonathan planned a destination wedding at The Breakers – and they couldn’t have picked a more classy location! The location was especially meaningful to them because that is where Jonathan proposed in the Mediterranean Courtyard. As Robin said, Jonathan made her dream wedding at the Breakers come true!

A mix of American and Chinese traditions made this wedding especially interesting to photograph as well. For Chinese, red is the color of happiness – especially for weddings, so the bride wore two dresses. First, Robin wore an ivory wedding gown for the ceremony and then a traditional Chinese red dress called a “Qipao” with a brocade of a dragon and a phoenix.

The wedding also incorporated some “games.” Robin and Jonathan did the garter and bouquet toss as part of the American tradition and then a few games were played to poke fun at the newlyweds. They even had a friend MC the events!

The Breakers Design Studio created all the flowers, which were done using distinctly fall colors. The wedding cake was uniquely designed by The Breakers’ masterful bakers and pastry chefs. Thanks to Robin and Jonathan for the opportunity to photograph their very special wedding day at The Breakers, Palm Beach.

An Awesome New York City Engagement Shoot

Posted on October 21, 2008

I am very much looking forward to photographing this client's upcoming wedding in Orlando this December at the fabulous Gaylord Palms. As a South Florida wedding photographer I look forward to working in different places, so this Orlando wedding is very much anticipated. Many thanks to this special future bride & groom for their cooperation and enthusiasm in New York! I hope you enjoy this sample of our shoot.

It was a beautiful Fall day for Nikhil and Priya’s New York City engagement shoot! They wanted to do their shoot not just at New York City’s Central Park, but in its gorgeous Conservatory area. Mostly reserved for weddings and special events, the Conservatory is a very special part of Central Park – tucked away and private without the crowds of people that roam the rest of the park. We spent some time in the actual Conservatory and then roamed about Central Park as we continued to enjoy the beautiful autumn day in New York. Engagement shoots in New York City are so much fun – there are endless places to shoot and just Central Park alone affords many, many different picturesque locations.
