Robin and Jonathan at The Breakers, Palm Beach

What a beautiful day! Robin and Jonathan’s recent wedding at The Breakers was a pleasure to photograph! Hailing from New Jersey (our home state), Robin and Jonathan planned a destination wedding at The Breakers – and they couldn’t have picked a more classy location! The location was especially meaningful to them because that is where Jonathan proposed in the Mediterranean Courtyard. As Robin said, Jonathan made her dream wedding at the Breakers come true! |

A mix of American and Chinese traditions made this wedding especially interesting to photograph as well. For Chinese, red is the color of happiness – especially for weddings, so the bride wore two dresses. First, Robin wore an ivory wedding gown for the ceremony and then a traditional Chinese red dress called a “Qipao” with a brocade of a dragon and a phoenix.
The wedding also incorporated some “games.” Robin and Jonathan did the garter and bouquet toss as part of the American tradition and then a few games were played to poke fun at the newlyweds. They even had a friend MC the events!
The Breakers Design Studio created all the flowers, which were done using distinctly fall colors. The wedding cake was uniquely designed by The Breakers’ masterful bakers and pastry chefs. Thanks to Robin and Jonathan for the opportunity to photograph their very special wedding day at The Breakers, Palm Beach.
