Engagement shoots in New York City

One of our wedding couples, Arlene & Rich, had asked me to photograph their engagement pictures in New York City. Since they got engaged by the Bethesda Fountain in Central Park, we decided that Central Park would be our shooting location. We decided to meet at 9AM at the Bethesda Fountain. The weather forecast for the day was rain, but at 9AM it was mostly cloudy and we decided to do the shoot. By 9:30AM we has some blue sky and a ton of great scenery to work with. Arlene & Rich were a joy to photograph and we had a great time. Below are just a few of my favorite images from our photo shoot.

Lauren & Marc in NYC

October 14, 2007

We have many clients from the NY/NJ area and another one of my brides, Lauren, wanted to do her engagement pictures in Manhattan. We had scheduled the photo shoot for 5PM at Rockefeller Center, but due to rainy weather, we quickly changed the location to Grand Central Station. Due to their busy schedules, we didn’t have a lot of time. We met in the main terminal and quickly got down to business. It was rush hour so the station was filled with people, but the lighting and interesting building structures gave us plenty to work with. An additional challenge were the unexpected security restrictions – everywhere we went, security was on our tail. We had to move fast and get the shots!
